A driving license can be obtained by a person with a learning license. A learning license is issued in Gujarat by the Gujarat RTO as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
Driving License Eligibility
- Must have completed 16 years of age to get a gearless two wheeler license.
- Two-wheelers with gears, motorcars, tractors and other non-transport vehicles must have completed 18 years of age.
- A person must have completed 20 years of age to drive a transport vehicle. In addition he should have passed Class 8 and should have one year experience in driving light weight vehicles.

Driving licence માટે અરજી કેવી રીતે કરવી? | How to Apply For Driving Licence in Gujarat
1- First you have to go to www.parivahan.gov.in website.
2- Drivers/ Learners have to go to Licence in License Related Service.
3- Then you have to select the state Gujarat for which you want to apply.
4- Then click on Apply For Learner Licence.
5- Then you will see all the steps for learning license or not you have to read it and click on continue.
6- Now you have to select your RTO and then you have to select the ITI in the camp in which you want to give the test for learning license.
7- Now for E-KYC you have to enter your mobile number and click on Generate OTP. After that, the OTP that comes in the mobile has to be entered there.
8- After entering the OTP, a form for Learner License will appear in front of you in which you have to fill all your details.
Like, your full name, address, date of birth, blood group, mobile and which vehicle you are applying for.
After filling all the details you can see below to select the vehicle type.
First the class of Vehicle has to be selected for which the vehicle is to be licensed eg: 2 Wheeler without Gear (MCWOG), 2 Wheeler with Gear (MCWG), Four Wheeler (LMV).

Driving License Exam Pattern
લર્નીંગ લાઇસન્સ મેળવવા, કમ્પ્યુટરથી નોલેજ ટેસ્ટ પાસ કરવી જરૂરી છે.
- નીતિ નિયમો, ટ્રાફિકના સાઇનેજ(નિશાન) જેવા વિષયો ટેસ્ટમાં સામેલ છે.
- ટેસ્ટમાં 15 પ્રશ્નો પૂછવામાં આવશે, પાસ થવા માટે તે પૈકી 11 પ્રશ્નોના સાચા જવાબ આપવા જરૂરી છે.
- પ્રત્યેક પ્રશ્નનો જવાબ આપવા 48 સેકન્ડનો સમય મળશે.
- ટેસ્ટમાં સફળ ન થનાર વ્યક્તિ 24 કલાકના સમય બાદ ફરીથી ટેસ્ટ માટેની અપીલ કરી શકે છે.
- જે વ્યક્તિ પાસે લર્નીંગ લાઇસન્સ છે અથવા ડ્રાઇવીંગ લાઇસન્સ છે તે વર્તમાન ડ્રાઇવીંગ લાઇસન્સમાં વાહનની વધારાની શ્રેણી ઉમેરવા અરજી કરી શકે છે તેને કમ્પ્યુટર પર નોલેજ ટેસ્ટ આપવામાંથી મુક્તિ આપવામાં આવે છે.
કાયમી ડ્રાઇવીંગ લાઇસન્સ મેળવવા માટે ડ્રાઇવીંગની પરીક્ષા આપવી ફરજીયાત છે
- લર્નીંગ લાઇસન્સ મેળવનાર કોઇપણ વ્યક્તિ તેને મેળવવ્યા બાદ 30 દિવસના સમયગાળા પછી ગમે ત્યારે ડ્રાઇવીંગ ટેસ્ટ આપી શકે છે.
- જે વાહન માટે ડ્રાઇવીંગ લાઇસન્સ મેળવવા અરજી કરી હોય તે પ્રકારના વાહન ઉપર જ તેનો ડ્રાઇવીંગ ટેસ્ટ લેવામાં આવશે.
- લર્નીંગ લાઇસન્સ 6 મહિના માટે જ માન્ય ગણાશે, જેથી અરજીકર્તાએ આ માન્ય સમયગાળા દરમિયાન જ ડ્રાઇવીંગ ટેસ્ટ માટે હાજર થવાનું રહેશે.
